LASIK and Contoura Vision for Pitampura and Rani Bagh residents

If you live in Pitampura, Rani Bagh, Shakurpur or Saraswati Vihar and are thinking about reducing your dependence on glasses, this page explains how to get assessed at New Vision Eye Centre in Paschim Vihar. We have a single centre, in Paschim Vihar, and no branch in Pitampura or Rani Bagh.

Getting here

  • From Rani Bagh and Shakurpur, the drive to Paschim Vihar is roughly 10 to 20 minutes by road depending on traffic.

  • From Pitampura, allow about 20 to 30 minutes by road. By metro, the Red Line from Pitampura connects to the Green Line, and the nearest stop to us is Paschim Vihar East.

  • There is no car park. Cab or auto drop-off is easiest. The building has a lift and wheelchair access.

Two laser options, explained plainly

LASIK reshapes the cornea with a laser using your glasses power. Contoura Vision is a topography-guided type of LASIK, planned from a detailed map of your corneal surface. Both aim to reduce the need for glasses or contact lenses. Neither suits everyone, and some people are advised PRK or ICL instead. The surgeon decides after examination.

What the assessment day looks like

Students and working people often ask how much time to set aside. Plan around two hours, since the examination includes dilating drops.

  • Glasses power and corneal map

  • Corneal thickness and pupil size

  • Dry-eye check and eye pressure

  • Retina examination

  • Discussion with Dr Manik Mittal about suitability, steps and risks

Bring your glasses. Contact lens users must remove soft lenses for a period before the tests, which we will specify when you book.

Planning around college or office

Many people take a few days away from screens and dusty environments after surgery. You will get written instructions, and follow-up check-ups are scheduled. Ask for them in advance so that you can plan leave.

Charges

LASIK starts from ₹20,000 per eye and Contoura Vision from ₹27,500 per eye. The final amount depends on the assessment. The Surgery Counsellor, 89296 30330, can explain the details by phone.
