What the two names mean
LASIK uses a laser to reshape the cornea according to your glasses power. Contoura Vision is a topography-guided form of LASIK, planned from a detailed map of the corneal surface. Both aim to reduce dependence on glasses or contact lenses. Other options, such as PRK and ICL, exist. Suitability is decided on your examination.
What can change the charge
The starting figures apply per eye. The final amount depends on the examination, the procedure advised for you, and any additional testing. Charges for other procedures such as PRK or ICL differ, and ICL packages start from ₹60,000 per eye. The Surgery Counsellor can explain the details by phone.
Why assessment comes before a quote
Corneal thickness, shape, pupil size, dry-eye status and stability of glasses power all affect whether laser treatment is safe for you. Some people are advised against it. Assessment can take about two hours, and you are under no obligation to proceed.
Risks you should weigh
Dry eyes, night glare or haloes, under- or over-correction needing further treatment, and rare serious complications. Results and recovery vary. Some people still need glasses for some tasks later. All of this is discussed in plain language before you consent.
