Cataract surgery cost in Delhi
People searching for the cost of cataract surgery want a number first. At New Vision Eye Centre, Paschim Vihar, cataract surgery starts from ₹12,000 per eye. This page explains why the final figure differs from person to person, so that there are no surprises.
What the starting figure means
₹12,000 per eye is the starting charge. It is not a fixed price for everyone. It is a base from which the final charge is worked out after examination.
What changes the final charge
The intraocular lens (IOL): monofocal, toric and trifocal lenses differ in design, brand and price. We work with all lens brands.
Eye findings: some eyes need additional steps.
Other conditions: diabetes, glaucoma or other eye disease may need extra care or tests.
Tests before surgery, such as eye measurements and blood tests.
Lens types in plain words
A monofocal lens is set for one distance, usually far, so reading glasses may be needed. A toric lens helps correct astigmatism. A trifocal lens is designed to give far, intermediate and near vision. No lens suits everybody, and glasses may still be needed after any of them. The surgeon explains which fits your eye and routine, and the choice is yours.
Insurance, CGHS and ECHS
Cataract surgery can be covered by eligible health insurance, CGHS and ECHS, subject to approval. The Insurance and cashless team, 96251 54575, can check your policy before the day. Please carry the card or policy and photo ID.
Ask before you decide
Ask what is included in the quoted amount, which lens it covers, how many follow-up visits are included, and what the extra charges could be. Call the Surgery Counsellor on 89296 30330.
