Contoura Vision for Peeragarhi, Meera Bagh and Sundar Vihar residents

This page is for people in Peeragarhi, Meera Bagh, Sundar Vihar and Udhyog Nagar who are curious about Contoura Vision and want to understand the corneal map on which it is based. Our centre is in Paschim Vihar, among the nearest to these localities, and Dr Manik Mittal explains the findings to each person after the tests.

The idea behind topography-guided treatment

Contoura Vision is a form of LASIK in which the plan is built from a topography scan, a detailed map of the front surface of the cornea. The map records many points, so the surgeon can see curves and irregularities that a routine glasses test does not show. The laser is then programmed using this map together with your glasses power.

What you may see on your report

  • Colour-coded maps of the cornea's curvature

  • Thickness readings at the centre and edges

  • Notes on any unevenness that needs a closer look

  • A comparison between your two eyes

Questions worth asking at the visit

  • Is my cornea thick and regular enough for laser treatment?

  • Is Contoura Vision, standard LASIK, PRK or ICL under discussion for my eyes, and why?

  • What are the risks for me in particular?

  • How many follow-up visits will I need?

  • Can I continue with glasses or contact lenses instead?

When surgery may not be advised

Conditions such as keratoconus, thin or irregular corneas, untreated eye disease, pregnancy or an unstable glasses power can rule out laser treatment. If that happens, other options are discussed openly, and staying with glasses is also a valid choice.

What to expect afterwards

Eye drops are prescribed for some weeks. Dryness, glare and haloes can occur, mostly in the early weeks. Results differ between people, glasses may still be needed for some tasks, and reading glasses are usually needed after about 40 years of age.

Charges

Contoura Vision starts from ₹27,500 per eye. The final charge depends on your examination. Call 011 4978 5858 or 81309 30330 for an appointment, or the Surgery Counsellor on 89296 30330 for questions about surgery.
